The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort is one of the most family-friendly luxury resorts in Florida. It offers two-bedroom suites with full kitchens, living rooms, balconies, and lots of extras. Many luxurious resorts don’t cater to families, but in this case, “luxury” and “family friendly” are synonymous!
Five Reasons to Love this Palm Beach Resort
1. Space
Instead of cramming into one or two rooms and trying to find a way to make everyone fit, our family had plenty of space to stretch out in the Palm Beach Marriott. The six of us stayed in a two bedroom suite. One bedroom had two queen sized beds, which our four children shared. My husband and I stayed on the opposite side of the suite in a huge master bedroom with a king-sized bed. There was also a pullout couch in the living room space in between both bedrooms if we had needed it. In addition, there was a large balcony, full size kitchen with bar stools for eating, and tons of closet space. You will not feel cramped at all in this Palm Beach resort.
2. Beach Access
There are few things more annoying to me than having to pack all the beach stuff for four kids into a car and drive to the beach. Kids need a lot of stuff! Staying at a Palm Beach resort right on the beach saves time, money and most importantly aggravation. If some kids need to come out of the sun but others want to stay, you can divide and conquer without the issue of having to drive back to the hotel. I liked that as guests of the hotel we had direct access to the beach, but there was security making sure non-guests didn’t have direct access to our stuff. Note that umbrellas and beach chairs can be rented. If you choose not to rent them and use your own, you have to move to the public part of the beach about 100 yards away.
3. Kids Activities
When you have a lot of kids, the costs for supervised kids camps at luxury resorts can be tough to swallow. So, I loved that the Palm Beach Marriott offered several free activities every single day. Maybe it was pool games or lawn games or a beach side treasure hunt, they had some fun things to do that didn’t cost a penny. Of course there were others that did have a cost but there was no pressure to participate in them. The Kids Club, located on the beach level, was a great place to visit to liven up the day. If you come on a rainy or cool day, the Kids Club has books and games and other activities parents can do with the kids too.
4. Amazing Pool
If the beach wasn’t fun enough, then spend some time at the Singer Island lagoon pool with twisting water slide. The infinity edge pool is great for non-swimmers and the surprisingly fast water slide will have your big kids begging to go “just one more time”. With plenty of seating and umbrellas and the tasty Lagoon Cantina nearby, you may find yourself shying away from the beach. (They also have another pool if water slides aren’t your thing.)
5. Balconies
My favorite time of day on vacation is when the kids are asleep and my husband and I can sit for a few moments alone to chat and enjoy the night. The ocean-view balconies at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort and made for this! We shared a glass of wine as the slight ocean breeze kept us cool and listened to the sound of the tide coming in. For people who live in land-locked Atlanta, being able to comfortably enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean on a balcony from 20 floors up is indescribable.
