Christmas Towns Across the USA
Twinkling Christmas lights, festive displays, traditional carols, smells of bayberry and pine, decorated sugar cookies in holiday shapes, and colorful Christmas trees are some of the things that leave us with “visions of sugarplums.”
Holiday travel is something else I get excited about. There are many cities around the country that will kick your holiday spirit into overdrive. These Christmas towns roll out the red carpet and lure you in with fun (and often free!) attractions and events.
It’s no secret that big urban centers such as Chicago, New York City and Denver go all-out for Christmas, decked in lights and snow. But there are lots of smaller towns in the USA that celebrate the holidays in lights, music and more — even southern cities where the white stuff is sand, not snow.
Here are 13 of our favorite enchanting Christmas towns.
