Just think: a theme park with no ride height restrictions to thwart the hopes of little ones! That’s the new Peppa Pig Theme Park in Winter Haven, Florida. Based on the charming British children’s show, this new park is made for the littles and kids on the autism spectrum.
The newest LEGOLAND theme park, celebrating the sweet British children’s show Peppa Pig, opens in Winter Haven, Fla., on February 24, 2022. During a sneak peek for writers, I found a charming spot for families with little ones to play and engage.
From physical activities to discovering hidden adventures along the way, everything at Peppa Pig Theme Park is interactive, designed to stimulate and engage kids (and adults) of all ages in the world of play.
Here’s what you need to know to plan the best day ever at the world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park.
Where is Peppa Pig Theme Park?
In Florida, of course! Central Florida is known for theme parks and the Peppa Pig Theme Park is conveniently located in Winter Haven, Florida, just 45 minutes from Orlando.
This sale is valid until 6/4/2023.
Peppa Pig Theme Park is part of the LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park family. LEGOLAND Florida will officially open the gates to Peppa Pig Theme Park on February 24, 2022.
The Park is situated within easy walking (or strollering) distance from the entrance to LEGOLAND and the LEGOLAND Hotels. Parking areas are shared by all of the theme parks.
Pro Tip: To ensure Florida travel is accessible to people of all abilities, VISIT FLORIDA has recently debuted three new videos in its “Limitless Florida” series highlighting how people of different abilities can – and do – enjoy Florida’s experiences fully. For example, Kennedy Space Center offers a guide for families with autism to prepare for a visit. St. Augustine has a Braille Trail that lets visually-impaired visitors explore tactile art while listening to free audio descriptions via an app. New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach offer free non-motorized beach wheelchair rentals. Get all of the state’s accessibility resources at the VISIT FLORIDA Accessible Travel Hub.
How Much Does It Cost to Visit?

Pricing for 3-Day passes for all three parks begins at $159.99; $15 less if you forgo the water park.

Tips for Visiting Peppa Pig Theme Park
The Park is laid out really well with a good balance of active and passive play. Families can move about at their own pace. I would plan on spending at least 4 -5 hours at the Park though how much time to spend there will depend on the family.
As of opening date, Park hours will be from 10AM to 5PM, 7 days a week. To make the most of your Peppa Park adventure only a little planning is needed.

What Rides and Attractions are There?
Even in a park aimed at preschoolers, Peppa Pig features the “traditional” theme park rides such as a roller coaster, a balloon ride and a boat ride. Each incorporates a character or feature of Peppa’s pals and adventures.
Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster
This roller coaster has just enough twists and turns to let you know you are definitely riding a roller coaster. It’s fast, but not too fast. It’s high, but not too high. You’ll find yourself leaning into the curves and feeling the breeze in your hair as the ride descends. I loved it and could see how “kids” of all ages would enjoy this.
Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride
Like Daddy Pig’s roller coaster, Peppa’s hot air balloon ride is likely to be a favorite of the older kids. The basket rises high above the park and provides an excellent view of the entire park. It was one of my favorite places to take photos. Another cool feature of the “balloon” ride is that it is completely wheelchair accessible. The baskets are designed so that a child’s wheelchair can roll right into the basket thus eliminating the need to move a child from the chair to the ride.
Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride
Who doesn’t love a pirate boat ride? This one has enough movement to make it more than just a simple cruise but not enough to frighten little ones. Like any good pirate adventure, searching for hidden treasure is a must!
Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure
On this delightful ride through Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Park, each rider gets their own dinosaur to ride. I like that the dino ride is not part of a train or group of cars. This adds to the sense of adventure. I also like that the ride is designed to accommodate a single rider, or allow a small child and parent to ride together.
Mr. Bull’s High Striker
Everyone will want to test their strength on Mr. Bull’s High Striker hammer and bell ride. Show off your muscle power and see just how high you can send your riders, then watch them drop! Kid-friendly fun for the whole family!
Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour and George’s Tricycle Trail
If wheels are involved, everyone wants to play. And these attractions are the place to do it. They make size- and skill-appropriate pedal activities fun for all ages. The Peppa Pedal Bike Tour is camping-themed with a longer path, while George’s Tricycle Trail follows a simpler route with push pedal bikes. I saw moms and dads joining the pedal fun in both areas.
What Does it Mean to Say Peppa Pig Theme Park is Autism Friendly?
The Peppa Pig Theme Park claims to be the first theme park in the country designed specifically for preschoolers. It also is a designated Certified Autism Center.
To earn this designation, the Park partnered with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to train staff to better understand autism and equip them with the tools they need to assess a family’s situation and offer help if needed.
In addition, the Park and the credentialing board co-developed a Sensory Guide for every ride and attraction. The Sensory Guide is posted at the entrance to each attraction and provides a rating for each of the 5 senses. These ratings help parents determine which activities are a good match for their child.
Parents can get a copy of the Sensory Guide at Guest Services when they arrive at the Park, or download the Peppa Pig Theme Park App or visit the website to prepare and plan in advance.
Overall Accessibility
Overall the Park’s attractions and playscapes are designed with accessibility in mind. Parents can explore this more through the Park’s Comprehensive Accessibility Guide, which they can also pick up at Guest Services or download from the website.
When the Peppa Pig Theme Park opens in Central Florida on February 24, 2022, LEGOLAND Florida also will announce that LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park, LEGOLAND Waterpark and the three LEGOLAND hotels are Certified Autism Centers.
How’s the Food at the Park?
As the theme park likes to say, the food is “Oinktastic!” After all the riding, running and splashing, who doesn’t work up an appetite? No worries, Miss Rabbit’s Diner is ready with a variety of offerings. .
Kid-friendly bites include traditional favorites such as pizza, grilled cheese, chicken salad and mac & cheese while the smoked brisket sandwich and rice and veggie bowls are available for the heartier appetite.
But I must say, you need to save room for a light and delicious Mud Cup made up of layers of whipped cream and chocolate mousse topped with a Swedish Fish. You’re welcome.
What Attractions are there for the Whole Family?
The Park was designed with the goal of creating a space that is inclusive, accessible and fun for the whole family.
No area of the park does that better than the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. Peppa fans know that splashing around in puddles is fun for the whole family and that’s exactly the inspiration behind the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. From little piggies to bigs, preschoolers to parents, there are puddles and water spouts to be enjoyed by all. Kids of all ages will have no trouble finding a water spout sized to their liking. Best of all for parents, there is no actual mud involved. Just the fun of splashing around in the water play area.
The watery slides and colorful, fun-to-navigate pathways are designed to be accessible to everyone. Whether, like Peppa, you don golden boots, or you navigate puddles from a wheelchair, kids of all levels of mobility will find it easy to make a splash.
Speaking of getting wet, towels are not provided, so parents plan to pack travel towels and don’t forget the swimsuits! The restrooms are right across from the Splash Pad, so changing is a breeze.
SheBuysTravel Tip: Towering water-spouting rainbow-colored umbrellas and colorful sails make the Splash Pad visible from anywhere in the park. So if family members split up, “Meet me at Muddy Puddles” makes a good rendezvous point.
Everyone will enjoy outside live shows at Mr. Potato’s Showtime Arena and when something even more chill is needed, the whole family can relax on large pillows in the air conditioning at The Cinema. It’s playing Peppa Pig shows, of course.
Before you leave, step inside Mr. Fox’s Shop for souvenirs or gifts to take home.
Is There Anything for Older Kids at Peppa Pig Theme Park?
While Peppa Pig Theme Park is designed with preschoolers in mind, the activities and attractions are designed to bring out the kid in all of us, regardless of age. Even the staff are called “Puddle Jumpers” – how fun is that?
Older kids have a lot to pick and choose from. I predict Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster and Mr. Bull’s High Striker to hit it big with older kids. Though, it will be impossible to resist the appeal of the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. No doubt older kids will discover their “inner/younger” child while they run, climb and explore the many play spaces.
Note that children age 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Is Peppa Pig Theme Park a Part of LEGOLAND Florida?
The Peppa Pig Theme Park is the newest member of the LEGOLAND® Florida family which consists of LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park, LEGOLAND Water Park and three LEGOLAND Hotels: Pirate Island Hotel, LEGOLAND Hotel and Beach Retreat.
