The Vitamix blender is officially our favorite luxe kitchen tool. From soups to smoothies, the Vitamix blenders are top of the line and have changed the way we make meals in the kitchen.

A blender this powerful and versatile will replace your food processor and regular blender. The powerful laser-cut stainless-steel blades will blend a smoothie in 30 seconds, make a hot soup in under 6 minutes, puree healthy baby foods, make nut butters and so much more.

We also travel with our Vitamix, so we have experienced the value of using these blenders both at home and on-the-go.

Vitamix E310 Explorian Series

Includes:

  • Motorbase
  • 48-ounce container
  • Mini-tamper
  • Cookbook
  • A 5-year warranty with an option to purchase an additional 3-year warranty for $75.

Of all three blenders that we’re comparing, this one is the most affordable, but it still delivers high-performance blending power. The 48-ounce container does hold less than the other two models we’re comparing below. That would be the biggest drawback if you were planning to use this for a large family.

The other notable difference between this model and the other two featured here: The E310 Explorian Series blender does not have a digital timer or wireless connectivity like the blenders in the Ascent series. It still offers variable speed controls and a pulse feature.

Of all three models, this is the one I’d recommend for traveling. It’s light-weight and is the perfect size for making quick smoothies, hot soups or other dishes in a hotel room or vacation rental.

Vitamix A3300 Ascent Series Blender

Includes:

  • Motorbase
  • 64-ounce low profile container
  • S2 low-profile tamper
  • Simply Blending Cookbook
  • A 10-year warranty

The blenders in the Ascent Series are truly impressive and easily the best blenders I‘ve ever used. These are the only high-performance blenders with wireless connectivity and a system of SELF-DETECT containers. It’s also a smart blender — download the Vitamix Perfect Blend app and control your blender with the app.

The main difference between the A3300 and the A3500 are the 5 program settings included on the A3500. These five touchscreen settings allow you make smoothies, hot soups, dips & spreads, frozen desserts or even turn on the self-cleaning feature with one touch. I’m a fan of those presets! They are not a necessity, just a luxury.

The A3300 is going to give you all the power and control you’re looking for in a blender plus all the SMART features that few other blenders have, such as an app, bluetooth and wireless connectivity. The only reason to upgrade to the A3500 is if you found the presets to be useful.

Includes:

  • Motorbase
  • 64-ounce low profile container
  • S2 low-profile tamper
  • Simply Blending Cookbook
  • A 10-year warranty

This is the top model in the Ascent Series of blenders and in my opinion the best Vitamix blender.

As someone who has a large family and spends a lot of time cooking, both out of necessity and as a hobby, I want a blender that gives me all the options. I also love that the larger low-profile container size is perfect for leaving the Vitamix out on the countertop.

The 5 program settings on the A3500 also are great for my kids because with one touch they‘re able to make their own smoothie in the blender. For me, this makes it worth the additional money.

All Vitamix blenders are an investment and for me personally, I want one with ALL the options.

Recipes We Tried with All 3 Blenders

Creamsicle Breakfast Smoothie

The ingredients for this recipe all fit nicely in all the blender. In under a minute, it was ready to serve. It did take a little longer to blend in the E310 versus the blenders from the Ascent series, but not by much.

Avocado Yogurt Dip

This recipe came out the same consistency in all three blenders using the same amount of blend time.

Bacon Cheddar Potato Soup

This is the only recipe where I noticed that a larger container is nice to have. It also required a longer blend time in the E310 to get the soup to the same consistency as it was with the other blenders. The soup was hot after only 5 minutes of blending in all the blenders.
