Just an hour and a half’s flight from Miami, Florida, Jamaica is an easy destination for a quick getaway that the entire family will enjoy. The best part is that Jamaica undoubtedly has some of the best all-inclusive family resorts in the world.

Jamaica is one of those jaw-dropping vacation destinations that is truly multi-generational. I was just a teenager during my first trip to Jamaica. Our large family group of 12 included both pre-teens, teens and adults. We all had an unforgettable time enjoying the friendly Jamaican people, culture and laid-back vibe.

When you’re at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, your vacation is made even better. Everything you could possibly need is at your fingertips and already planned for you from meals and excursions all the way to your own private nanny!

Here’s our round-up of 13 of the best all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica for your family vacation:

Beaches Negril Resort

Norman Manley Blvd.
Negril, Jamaica
(876) 957-9270

Beaches Resorts has just three resorts: Two in Jamaica and one in Turks and Caicos. Its Beaches Negril Resort is set on the breathtaking white sand seven-mile beach facing shallow, crystal blue water.

An all-inclusive vacation with the family includes everything you need for a relaxing vacation. You get unlimited meals, snacks and drinks at 10 restaurants and access to seven bars (including swim-up bars).

There are countless amenities and activities included in your stay. Get wet at one of three freshwater pools or Pirates Island Waterpark. Or, get out in the ocean for scuba diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding and kayaking. If you prefer to stay dry you can play a game of mini-golf, beach volleyball, basketball, tennis or pool. Additionally, there is daily and nightly entertainment that the entire family can enjoy.

Need some adult time to explore or go to the spa? There’s a kid’s club with certified nannies and a game room to keep them busy. If your kids are anything into gaming like my eight-year-old, they’ll probably be begging you to go out so they can spend time in the XBox Play Lounge. There’s even a club exclusively for teens.

And when it’s time to wind down, you’ll have no problem relaxing in your spacious, bright room with a balcony, fully-stocked bar and 24-hour room service.

If you have a little one who is into Sesame Street, it’ll be a dream come true when they see their favorite characters walking around the resort. SheBuysTravel contributor Kendra Pierson visited with her two sons as well as a few of her girlfriends and had an incredible experience.

In her words, “I gathered up a few girlfriends and had an adult evening out with plenty of champagne toasts, giggles and girlfriend conversation while my children were watching a live Sesame Street show with their friends just 20 feet away. I feel like it would be a place to please all members of the family on a multi-generational family trip.” Read more about her time at Beaches Negril here.

Why Beaches Negril Resort is great for families:

  • Childcare available with certified nannies
  • Countless activities and entertainment for all ages
  • Roundtrip airport transfers to make transporting the family easy
  • Close proximity to Kool Runnings water park

Beaches Ochos Rios Resort and Golf Club

Old Main Road
Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Beaches Ochos Rios Resort and Golf Club is the second of the Beaches Resorts in Jamaica. It is also voted among the Top 10 Best Beach Resorts for families by Parents magazine. This family-friendly resort sits on a private white sand cove beach along the Caribbean and is just 2km from the Ian Fleming International Airport.

There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy including multiple swimming pools, two hot tubs, sports courts and golf. There’s also daily and nightly live entertainment. Like its sister resort in Negril, Beaches Ochos Rios is also home to the Pirates Island Waterpark. However, this waterpark is even larger with 27,000 square feet of heart-pumping water slides and adventure. If learning to scuba dive has been on your bucket list, you’ll be glad to know that the resort’s comprehensive diving program is included in your stay.

When you want some time away from the kids to go on an excursion or perhaps even a romantic dinner, rest assured that they’ll be well taken care of in the Kids Camp with certified nannies. Like its sister resort, there’s also an Xbox Play Lounge as well as an exclusive teen nightclub.

SheBuysTravel contributor Tara Settembre visited Beaches Ochos Rios with her husband and twin 2.5 year-old toddlers. In her words, “Beaches Resorts makes traveling internationally with toddlers a day at the beach. What I especially like about Beaches Ocho Rios is that there are so many activities that families can do together, but also there’s the included Kids Camp for when parents want some adult-time to connect as a couple again and go snorkeling or even have a romantic dinner. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, indulge at one of the resort’s seven gourmet restaurants. Or, enjoy a meal in the comfort of your own room with butler service and a fully-stocked minibar.

Why Beaches Ochos Rios is great for families:
