Virginia can be a fun family getaway destination any time of the year. In the winters, families enjoy heading out on the snow-covered slopes while staying at one of the area’s mountain resorts. The warmer months are a great time to explore Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park, Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon and Busch Gardens theme park.
