Atlantis Paradise Island will host the inaugural Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival from March 15 – 19, 2023. Formerly known as the Atlantis Taste of Paradise Food & Wine Festival, the five-day event is bigger and better than ever. It features world-renowned chefs, master sommeliers, mixologists and celebrities along with family-friendly events.

The Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival showcases the culinary talent and diverse programming at Atlantis and in The Bahamas. Not only that, it is also a way to give back. A portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to the resort’s nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, The Atlantis Blue Project Foundation (ABPF). The organization fosters the preservation and conservation of coral reefs, sea turtles, sharks, manatees and cetaceans, along with their Bahamian ecosystems.

What to Expect at Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival

The festival, which takes place in various locations throughout the resort, features a variety of culinary experiences. For example, festival-goers can enjoy walk-around tastings and cooking demonstrations, family-friendly events, chef meet-and-greets, multi-course dining experiences and more. Plus, enjoy dining experiences with celebrity chefs Andrew Zimmern, Duff Goldman, JJ Johnson, Aarón Sánchez and Alex Guarnaschelli. In addition, the festival spotlights local talent and celebrity music entertainment.

Events at Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival

While planning your trip, take note of the festival’s various events. After all, there’s a lot to see and do! 

  • Wine lunches and dinners with celebrity chefs Andrew Zimmern, Alex Guarnaschelli, Aarón Sánchez, Michael White and Andrew Zimmern. Each will each host a memorable in-restaurant dining experience featuring their recipes paired with signature wines. 
  • Watch food demonstrations.
  • Mangia – An Italian Food Journey for the Family features creative, gourmet interpretations of pizza, pasta, meatballs and gelato. 
  • Indulge in a sweet Cake & Ice Cream Social with Duff Goldman, the resort’s resident pastry and dessert chef.
  • Jerk Jam is a beachside party with live cooking demonstrations, music and entertainment, and hand-crafted cocktails.The signature event is hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli and JJ Johnson with a special performance by Grammy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated rapper Wyclef Jean.
  • Enjoy Tacos & Tequila with James Beard Award winning chef and TV personality Aarón Sánchez.  
  • Sparkles At Sunset features iconic pours of champagne varietals paired with savory and sweet bites.
  • Stay up for a Late Night Dessert Party at The Cove Pool hosted by pastry chef Duff Goldman and celebrity DJ Kim Lee from the hit TV series Bling Empire. Enjoy decadent sweets as you sip on a curated selection of beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails.
  • Don’t miss a Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard a catamaran.

History of the Atlantis Food & Wine Festival 

The annual food and wine festival, which celebrates the Bahamian cuisine and culture, started in 2018 as “EAT: Extraordinary Taste of Atlantis.” Later, it was renamed Taste of Paradise. For 2023, the newly named Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival reflects its growth as the premier culinary destination event in the Caribbean at Atlantis Paradise Island, The Bahamas.
