To stay or not to stay on property when visiting
Walt Disney World ? That is the age old question when planning a trip, and there are strong arguments to be made both ways! But if you are looking to be near the action, have a comfortable, quality hotel room, and enjoy all the perks that come with staying at aWalt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, then the Orlando Marriott Village may be the perfect choice for you!
Orlando Marriott Village for an Affordable Disney World Getaway
Located mere minutes from the parks, Orlando Marriott Village is a great choice for staying off-site while visiting Disney World. A combined 1,100-room complex of three Marriott hotels – the Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista, SpringHill Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista and Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Marriott Village is the perfect retreat after a fun day at the parks. In fact, its ideal location, less than one mile from Disney Springs and three miles from Epcot, makes Marriott Village even closer to Walt Disney World than some of the Disney World resorts! It is also close to Sea World and many of the area’s golf courses and other attractions.
Factor in much lower room rates, shuttle service to the parks, free breakfast, and Marriott quality and service, and this is an excellent option for families.

The Hotels
As a loyal Marriott Rewards member, I always try to stay a Marriott when traveling. Orlando Marriott Village combines three of their most family-friendly hotels in one gated complex. Built in 2000, the resort is modern and new, with all the comforts you’d expect from Marriott. In addition, they have a shared marketplace with options to grab snacks, a game room, and movies at night. Each site has its own pool, whirlpool, lobby area, outdoor space and fitness center. SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn offer guests free breakfast to start the day. There is also a Disney desk at each hotel where you can purchase tickets and have your Disney World questions answered by experts.
The Rooms
Between the three properties, there are 1,100 rooms, offering everything from a standard king or two queen beds to family suites with bunk beds for the kids. We stayed at the Courtyard, which was large and comfortable, with a sofa and balcony for some extra room to spread out.
Each of the hotels has an individual appeal for families. Courtyard offers families 304 traditional guestrooms and 8 suites. Fairfield Inn offers traditional rooms and 48 family suites, perfect for larger broods! And SpringHill Suites offers overall large rooms and suites.
When you stay at any one of the hotels at Orlando Marriott Village, you can enjoy the amenities at any of the three. (Can you say pool-hopping?) We especially loved the pool at the Courtyard, because it flowed from outdoors to indoors.
Dining
The Fairfield Inn and Springhill Suites offer a complimentary continental breakfast. The food is typical hotel breakfast fare – muffins, cereal, yogurt and such – but will fill you up and save money, especially if you have a big family to feed. Courtyard has The Bistro, where you can purchase Starbucks, pastries, whole fruit and breakfast sandwiches. In the evening, The Bistro serves cocktails and light snacks.
For lunch, dinner and snack time, the Village Marketplace offers a variety of inexpensive eats, including a coffee shop, pizza place and Edy’s Grand Ice Cream. There are also numerous family-style restaurants very nearby, not to mention Disney Springs, which is located less than two miles away from Marriott Village.
The Bottom Line
One great location. Three hotels. Numerous amenities.
When you stay at Orlando Marriott Village, you’re getting a clean and comfortable hotel stay, with all (okay, most) of the conveniences you’d get staying on site but without the premium price. Each hotel in Marriott Village is a
