Guest Rooms at The Alida

Our room was airy and full of light with two king-size beds (like all Alida rooms), a mini fridge, a 55-inch flat screen TV, a coffee/tea maker, a desk workspace with a chair, and a spacious bathroom that included a separate toilet area. There was also ample room to move around comfortably.

I was immediately drawn to the darling window bench seat and views. It was a perfect space to relax and read a book, with individual lighting above if needed.

Plush bedding and pillows made for a cozy and comfortable night’s sleep as we fell into bed each night after walking all over the city and seeing the sights.

The coffee/tea maker came with complimentary coffee, a variety of teas, and cream for the morning. A lovely touch was a separate nook on each floor for complimentary still and sparkling water and fresh fruit.

Alida Hotel Restaurants

A full-service restaurant is open for brunch and dinner daily. There are two lounges, and a pool bar each offering light bites, ensuring guests have easy access to delicious cuisine and cocktails at all times.

Rhett

Rhett, located on the hotel’s ground-level, is a combination of American classics and all the Southern coastal cuisine your heart could desire.

For dinner, we shared hush puppies with chipotle honey dipping sauce, and naturally, fried chicken, collard greens, red rice, and country gravy. In addition, we ordered extra sides of roasted broccolini and heirloom carrots, and a Rhett burger for good measure.

The cuisine did not disappoint. The hush puppies were delightfully crunchy to start with and just the right amount of tangy sauce. The fried chicken was everything we’d dreamed it would be, perfectly matched with the collard greens, red rice, and country gravy, which left us full yet still wanting more.

The Trade Room lounge on the lobby level serves as a hub of activity with various seating arrangements, handcrafted cocktails, and small bites. It features tables, a bar, and more secluded sitting areas and alcoves for guests to get comfortable.

The Lost Square

Rarely have I ‘found’ myself in such a tranquil escape under the stars. The Lost Square Rooftop Bar was simply dreamy.

Blending with the city skyline were tables, a bar, a counter along the side with sweeping river views, plush couches, and chairs amid an outdoor fireplace and string lights overhead, making it quite possibly one of the coziest places on earth.

The Alida Pool and Cabana Club Pool Bar

None could be lovelier than the heated saltwater pool and adjacent Cabana Pool Bar. It was a short visit and although we didn’t actually go swimming, it was certainly inviting. We did make use of nearby fire tables and thoughtfully designed outdoor seating areas, which can be found on several levels of the Alida.
