Another The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club featured restaurant, 1609 overlooks the stunning Hamilton Harbourfront in Pembroke Parish.

Named after the year of the island’s first colony, this restaurant offers a fusion of island and Latin flavors. We delighted in ceviche, golden-fried shrimp, tacos, and more while enjoying vibrant cocktails like the Mango Sriracha Margarita.

As the sun sets over the harbor, 1609 provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.

Nestled in St. George’s, Wahoo’s Waterside Bistro & Patio offers a taste of Bermuda’s local cuisine in a relaxed, pub-like setting. While the eatery’s ambiance is casual, the real highlight is its picturesque back patio overlooking tranquil waters.

The menu impressed with dishes like the crispy wahoo nuggets and the service left no room for improvement. Our friendly server remained patient with our questions about the fish varieties.

The location and the waterfront dining add to the appeal, making it a promising choice for a laid-back evening.

For a few hog pennies (the first Bermudian currency), savor the finest local breakfast, and be sure to order ahead as it runs out quickly. It includes fresh cod, eggs, beans, and seasonal fruits. How do you order ahead? Call 441-292-6130.

For lunch, indulge in their juicy smashed-patty burgers and crispy chips. Not to be missed are the tender and flaky fish cakes, a local favorite.

After a visit to the mesmerizing Crystal Caves, walk about 5 minutes until you stumble upon the Swizzle Inn.

Perfect for a quick lunch, it exceeded our expectations. It offers a variety of fish sandwiches, such as the Blue Hole Wahoo sandwich and the Bailey’s Bay Fish sandwich, both bursting with flavor.

However, the true standout is a pitcher of the Original Rum Swizzle. It surpasses all other island versions and, as the birthplace of the Rum Swizzle, itโ€™s a must-try.

The staff’s warmth and hospitality added to the charm. Swizzle Inn’s commitment to eco-friendliness and welcoming ambiance made it a must-visit stop.

Bolero Brasserie โ€“ Not Your Ordinary Italian Restaurant

95 Front Street
Hamilton Bermuda

Hidden in an alley between Front and Reid streets in Hamilton, Bolero is a culinary gem cherished by locals and helmed by the accomplished head chef and owner, Jonny Roberts.

Since its inception in 2007, Bolero has enthralled diners with a distinctive take on Italian cuisine. Signature dishes like parma ham with fried baby artichokes, parmesan, and truffle oil, along with the zesty shrimp pil pil, have graced the menu from the beginning.

However, the real excitement lies in the daily specials, which often steal the spotlight.

Visitors rave about Bolero’s excellence, comparing it to New York City’s fine dining establishments. The charming Mediterranean ambiance of their dining room, coupled with outstanding offerings like French onion soup, pizzette, mussels, steak, and creme brulee, ensure a memorable dining experience.

Ocean Club

101 South Shore Road
Fairmont Southampton, SN 02 Bermuda 1

Ocean Club, like many of Bermuda’s renowned dining establishments, maintains a close partnership with local fishermen, ensuring a daily supply of the freshest tuna, wahoo, and rockfish. However, shellfish, including oysters, crab claws, and mussels adorning the seafood towers, are flown in.

Recommendations abound, with the wahoo ceviche, boasting pineapple, jalapeรฑo, and pomelo vinaigrette, and the tuna tartare with a quail egg and crispy points making for excellent starters.

Bermuda’s signature rockfish is a must-try, featuring flaky white snapper prepared with torched bananas and toasted almonds.

The Vietnamese lobster summer roll, served with sweet chili and daikon vinaigrette, is a delectable option, although on the smaller side for sharing. The sight of a towering sushi platter at neighboring tables may leave you longing for more.

An extensive wine selection and delectable cocktails round out the experience.

The service, cuisine, and atmosphere are exceptional, with praise for the standout award-winning grouper and the addition of live music. And the kidsโ€™ menu features miniaturized adult dishes.

Reservations are a must.
