Located on Maui’s breathtaking Wailea coast, the Fairmont Kea Lani offers Hawaii’s only all-suite and villa luxury experience. I stayed here for my anniversary and fell in love with the lush tropical gardens, ocean views, and Hawaiian hospitality. This property is gorgeous!

Perfect for:

  • Couples – I loved my romantic stay
  • Families – Splurge on a villa for lots of space
  • Solo travelers – You’ll never be lonely with the friendly staff

  • Fresh locally inspired meals
  • Gorgeous landscaping felt like a botanical garden

SheBuysTravel Tip  Visit during the low seasons of Spring and Fall or the weeks after Thanksgiving and before Christmas for less crowds and lower prices. During my early December stay the hotel was at 30% occupancy.

One of the joys of travel for me is learning about the history and culture of the places I visit. At the Fairmont Kea Lani I didn’t even need to leave the resort. The Hale Kukuna, an open air cultural center gives guests the opportunity to view historic artifacts and experience cultural activities during their visit. I learned so much on my tour that when I attended a luau I understood the history behind the dances, instruments, and native clothing.

The Hake Kukana and activities are free. Hours vary, check the resort’s events calendar for the schedule.

I stayed in a spacious ocean view suite and it was surprisingly cozy for such a large space. Suite guests enjoy a separate living room, private lanai, and a stunning marble bathroom. Sipping coffee each morning and taking in this lovely view was a perfect way to start my day.

If money is no object, splurge on a two or three bedroom villa just steps from the beach. Guests love the private courtyard with a plunge pool and grill. Families enjoy the space of a full house with a kitchen while enjoying all the amenities of a resort.
