My first trip to Hendersonville was back in 2023 and I instantly fell in love with this charming mountain town. The quintessential Main Street, the apple orchards and vineyards, the historic charm and the waterfall hikes were idyllic and an affirmation that the town really has something for everyone. Since then, I have visited several of the properties in the area and one of my favorite parts is how supportive all of the owners are of each other. Here are some of the best places to stay in Hendersonville that will make for a memorable girls’ weekend.

FAQs
If you want to be able to walk to Main Street shops, restaurants and live music without needing a car, stay right in downtown Hendersonville — properties like 1898 Waverly Inn, The Henderson, Historic Blythe Cottage and Tracy’s Downtown Cottage are all within a few blocks of the action. If your group is more interested in a quiet retreat with spa access, mountain views or vineyard time, it’s worth the short drive to Horse Shoe Farm, Echo Mountain Inn, Brightwaters Vacation Rentals, or Souther Williams Vineyard, all of which are 10 to 20 minutes outside downtown but offer the kind of privacy and scenery you can’t get on Main Street.
Yes, and this is where the vacation rentals really shine over the traditional inns. Historic Blythe Cottage and Tracy’s Downtown Cottage each offer three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a king bed and two queens, so nobody has to share a bed unless they want to. Brightwaters Vacation Rentals takes it a step further with nine separate properties on one private compound, including a historic home split into two units with two bedrooms each, which makes it a great pick if your group wants some built-in separation during the day but still wants to be steps from each other at night.
Tuxedo Falls Luxury Camp is the one to book if you want your girls’ trip to feel like an event in itself. It’s an adult-only luxury glamping property about 15 minutes outside Hendersonville with private outdoor soaking tubs, five waterfalls on-site, plush robes and 360-degree mountain views, plus a lodge with a full bar for board games at night. For a more traditional luxury feel, Horse Shoe Farm offers an 85-plus-acre riverfront property with a full-service spa, farm-to-table dining at The Silo and estate homes big enough for a larger group, making it the pick for a trip that leans more into relaxation and pampering than adventure.
Most of the inn-style properties on this list build breakfast into the stay and a few make it the highlight of the trip. 1898 Waverly Inn serves a daily breakfast that pairs well with a mimosa while The Henderson offers a chef-led breakfast each morning along with an on-site restaurant for dinner. Echo Mountain Inn has a daily breakfast buffet and Horse Shoe Farm includes complimentary breakfast at its on-site restaurant, The Silo. The standout, though, is Bed & Breakfast on Tiffany Hill, about 15 minutes from downtown, where breakfast is a full four-course meal that ends with a live operatic performance from the innkeeper.
Hendersonville is one of the best small mountain towns in North Carolina for a girls’ trip because it packs walkable downtown charm, wineries, waterfalls and apple orchards into one manageable weekend. The town earned the nickname “Little Charleston” from South Carolina families who once built second homes here to escape the summer heat and that same mix of Southern hospitality and mountain scenery is still what makes it feel special today. Whether your group wants to spend the weekend hiking to waterfalls, touring vineyards like Souther Williams or simply relaxing on a porch with a glass of wine, Hendersonville has a place to stay that fits the trip you’re planning.
