If you only drink one or two cocktails a day, you may not need a Holland America beverage package. On my five-day Koningsdam girls trip from San Diego to Vancouver, cocktails averaged about $11 à la carte.
That said, there are so many drink options, including non-alcoholic options, worth trying like Holland America’s De Lijn Gin, and my favorite, the zero-proof Damrak 0.0 gin and tonic.

Drink Package Options
Holland America offers Quench (non-alcoholic), Signature, and Elite package options.
Four Drinks Worth Ordering
Damrak 0.0 Gin and Tonic (nonalcoholic). The standout cocktail for me was the botanical non-alcoholic Gin and Tonic made with Damrak 0.0, a zero-proof gin from Bols, mixed with a skinny tonic. It’s decorated with berries and greens and very refreshing!
De Lijn Gin + anything. Holland America created De Lijn Gin exclusively for the cruise line to celebrate its Dutch heritage. It’s a floral botanical blend including orange, rose, elderberry, raspberry, lemon, and juniper. Order it neat, in a martini, or with tonic.
Dutch 75. This is the ship’s own play on a French 75, built with De Lijn Gin, Holland America’s own sparkling wine, and fresh lemon juice. If you already love a French 75, this is the Koningsdam version to try, and it’s a nice way to taste the same house gin in a completely different style than the G&T above.
Frozen pool bar mocktail. For an alcohol-free sea day drink, the frozen mocktails at the Lido Pool bar are an easy way to cool off between activities, and they’re included under the Quench package.
Should You Buy a Beverage Package?
Holland America offers alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage packages with different price limits and terms. Before buying one, consider:
- How many drinks you realistically order each day
- Whether specialty coffees and nonalcoholic drinks are included
- The maximum eligible price per drink
- Whether everyone sharing the cabin must buy the same package
- Whether minibar and room-service drinks are excluded
