If there was an award for the best location of a hotel in Prague, Hotel Rott in Prague 1, would be at the top of my list for winning it. It’s smack dab in the middle of all the action in Prague, right around the corner from shops, restaurants, the Astronomical Clock plus bars and ice cream shops. In addition to its amazing location, Hotel Rott has phenomenal amenities like a rooftop with views of Prague 1, expert customer service, and high ceilings with a variety of rooms.

Hotel Rott Highlights:

  • Expert Location: Walking distance from Charles Bridge and the Astronomical Clock.
  • Rooms: Wide variety of rooms, making it suitable for any type of traveler.
  • Included breakfast: High quality breakfast buffet with tons of options.

Location

The location of Hotel Rott was prime, you’re close to so many tourist attractions, which made it SO EASY to just run around all day, then have a short walk back to the hotel. Prague 1 is a really safe and lively area. It’s a bit on the more touristy side, but for good reason, every morning after the included breakfast, you could take a walk around Old Town and enjoy the beautiful shops and architecture.

The Room

Comfort:  The rooms themselves were a bit dated, but did not lack cleanliness or space. The ceilings were incredibly high and the bed was probably one of the crispiest-made beds I’ve ever slept in.

View + Noise: Even though the hotel is located in the heart of Prague 1, I had no trouble sleeping at night, as there were no loud bars or clubs nearby. The beds were super comfortable and it definitely got quiet at night.

Breakfast (Included):

Quality: Amazing included breakfast buffet that had prepared breakfast foods as well as perfect on-the-go snacks that you could take with you. It was nice and quiet in the morning, PLUS you got to eat in a modern underground cave-like setting, which totally added a historical element to breakfast in the morning.

Favorites:

  • Bruschetta with sliced salami, mortadella, tomatoes and basil
  • Basically all of the pastries ( took a bite out of every single one of them)
  • Crepes drizzled with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar

Summary

The Capital Boutique Hotel in Valletta excels in location, amenities, and service. It’s a top choice for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. With modern rooms, friendly staff, and superb walkability, this hotel enhanced my stay in Malta.
