After months of burnout in the Alaskan wilderness, my boyfriend and I escaped to Thailand to rediscover relaxation and luxury at the five-star Lebua State Tower in Bangkok, where we immersed ourselves in world-class amenities, service and Michelin-starred dining—an ideal retreat for couples seeking an unforgettable experience.

Rooms at Lebua

Lebua holds 179 breathtaking suites, ranging from one to three bedrooms. You will find a fit for all group sizes, from a party of two to a group of friends. I resided in the Suite City View, which overlooks Bangkok’s bustling streets and stunning skyline, all from my private balcony. The spacious suite has a couch to lounge around on, a small kitchen for making lunch and a gorgeous bathtub for two. Throughout my stay the hotel sent bouquets, fresh coconut water, fruit and bonbons for my partner and me to enjoy. Lebua’s attention to detail is unparalleled.
SheBuysTravel Tip: The hotel offers airport pickup so call the front desk to inquire before your arrival!
Amenities at Lebua

Enjoy complimentary activities on-site with these amenities from Lebua during the trip:
- Access an open-air pool for a splash midday to escape the heat
- Fitness Center for a morning workout before a hot shower
- Visit Cafe Mozu for a complimentary buffet breakfast inspired by Asian and Western flavors
SheBuysTravel Tip: Enjoy breakfast with delicious eggs your way, with chefs who whip up made-to-order eggy delights.
Food at Lebua

Dine in style at one of eleven restaurants at Lebua Hotel. Grab a drink at Sky Bar to enjoy the sunset and recreate a photo-op from Hangover II, filmed at this very spot! For a Chinese-inspired dinner, visit Breeze, with a skyline view of Bangkok while you eat. Enjoy a five-course tasting menu from Chef Sam Pang with wine pairings. I suggest the Wok Seared River Prawn and Charcoal Grilled Lamb Rack courses for a delectable bite. Finish dinner with a Golden Egg dessert for a beautiful and tasty finish to your meal.
Cooking Class & Tuk Tuk Market Tour at Lebua

Channel your inner chef with a cooking class! This tour starts with a trip to a local market on a tuk-tuk through the city. The tour guides walk around helping to select fresh ingredients for the class. I enjoyed the unique fruits and street food the market offers.
After the market and back at the hotel, chefs led a private cooking class with four Thai dishes. In the end my partner and I learned some new techniques from these top chefs. At the end of the meal, the hotel provides a cookbook from the class and Polaroid photos of the tour!
SheBuysTravel Tip: Make sure to bring cash to the markets if you want to purchase from vendors. They do not take cash but there are plenty of ATMs around the area.
