Ocean Park Resort is managed by Vacasa and their condo units are also available on VRBO or AirBnb. We rented a one-bedroom condo for our group of four, which had plenty of room. The building is structured so that you enter from a covered, outdoor corridor, and almost every unit faces the ocean and has an amazing view. They have efficiency rooms plus one and two-bedroom condos. Every condo is individually owned and you can choose the exact unit that you would like to rent.
Amenities include a fitness room, plus an indoor pool, outdoor pool and hot tubs and an indoor kiddie pool. The resort is pet-friendly and offers a doggie playground for pets to enjoy, as well as on-site dog grooming and daycare. We also received a set of coupons for the local area, including free mini-golf at a nearby location.
Ocean Park Resort Review
We visited Myrtle Beach as a group of four 50+ women traveling on a girlfriend getaway together, without kids for the first time. Our needs were easy to meet – an ocean view and easy beach access – and Ocean Park Resort met these needs perfectly. It’s not the most upscale or luxurious stay, but the price was great and our condo unit had everything we needed, like a/c, a full kitchen, an extra pull-out sofa bed, table and chairs, and a balcony with that gorgeous ocean view. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure.
The resort staff were friendly and helpful, especially when the a/c unit in our bedroom didn’t work on the first night. We checked in very late after maintenance had left, but the staff person at the front desk came up and tried to see if she could get it to work, and when she couldn’t, she found a fan for us to use to blow in the cool air from the other room, and maintenance fixed the issue first thing the next morning. We also ended up extending our stay another day and they did a great job of finding an available unit for us to move to since our original one was already booked.
It’s an older building and there is obvious wear and tear on things. In our original condo, we could tell that someone must have kept a dog in the bathroom at one point because the bottom of the door had been chewed on. It didn’t matter, other than feeling sorry for the poor dog. However, the furniture, appliances and decor looked new and the floors were laminate and easy to clean after walking in with sandy feet from the beach. Parking is free for one vehicle, in a lot directly across the street and easily accessible.
