As soon as I entered Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, I was immediately captivated by the colorful ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and trees situated at the center of the restaurant. I never observed a setup like this at a Disney restaurant before and was immediately intrigued.

While Toledo is not a Michelin-star restaurant, it is a Michelin-recommended one. This restaurant does not require guests to adhere to a specific dress code, except for a resort casual or smart casual standard that is common among most restaurants on the property. Despite this being a signature dining restaurant, adhering to a formal dress code is not required.

The Menu at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood

Toledo offers an extensive and meat-heavy Spanish-inspired menu with shared plates, sides and entrées. While most of the offerings can be shared, some options can feed one person. The menu also has a section filled with create-your-own options for kids.

The Spaniard for Two

The Spaniard for Two was my favorite tapa. As a blue cheese fan, I was glad to see it on my board as well as fig and honeycomb. This was a great way to start the meal without ruining my appetite for my main course.

Rioja-Braised Chorizo

While I don’t often eat meat, I knew I needed to try the Rioja-braised chorizo made with Spanish-style sausage, Rioja wine and onions. I liked its savory flavor profile and would order this again as an appetizer due to its richness.

Mezcla de Verduras

Mezcla de Verduras is one of the only vegetarian entrees. This dish is made with gigante bean silk, seasonal vegetables, patatas bravas and carrot romesco. It was evident that thought was put into every vegetable placed on the plate. The patatas bravas elevate the heartiness of the dish.

That said, I would have liked to see a couple more vegetable pieces on the plate, considering its considerable $33 price tag. I can’t forget to mention that this dish is aesthetically pleasing, making it suitable for taking mealtime photos.

Hibiscus-Mint Lemonade

Since I don’t drink alcohol, I opted to try the hibiscus-mint lemonade. While I ordered this at Dahlia Lounge, it is also on the menu at Toledo. I was hoping the mint flavor wouldn’t be overpowering and it wasn’t. This drink pairs well with many items on the food menu.
