Looking good while you travel is easy IF you plan ahead. Stylish and versatile travel clothes take away the stress of looking good in all your social media posts.
And to avoid further stress – carry your bags on the plane! Don’t go through all this planning only to have your luggage go missing. At the very least, bring an entire outfit change with you so even if something does go awry, you have clean clothes (and undies!) for the first day.
Here are some great travel clothes to consider:
Easy, Versatile Travel Pants
I’m a big fan of comfy pants with an elastic waistband. They’re ideal for busy travel days.
Here are my top tips to keep in mind when shopping around for new travel pants:
- Look for pants that are made of quick-drying fabrics, like cotton and polyester. Synthetic fabrics, like polyester, will also have moisture-wicking properties. Perfect for all types of climates.
- As far as the overall fit, look for relaxed-style travel pants like joggers. I also love the versatility of leggings. They can be dressed up or down easily and are ideal for light packing.
Spanx Perfect Pant Jogger
These best-selling joggers should be a staple in everyone’s travel wardrobe. The overall fit is slimming, mid-rise, with 4-way smoothing fabric. These also have a hidden tummy control for extra support. I love how easily these joggers can be transformed for a night out or kept casual.
Alternative jogger I’m loving are these Zella Women’s Live In Jogger. This will have a relaxed fit and feel more like you’re wearing sweatpants.
Stylish Water Resistant Hiking Pants
For the record, you don’t have to be a hiker to wear these pants. For active travel, consider these highly rated water-resistant joggers for sale on Amazon. They’re made with fabrics that are moisture-wicking, fast-drying, and sun-proof.
And if you like pockets, these are equipped with multiple pockets for all your belongings. A must-have for your travel gear!
Soft, Buttery Leggings
My legging collection seems never-ending. It’s hard to resist with so many terrific options out there.
The Beyond Yoga Spacedye High-Waisted Legging is another must-have staple. These buttery soft leggings will keep you comfy while providing flawless support. I also love how Beyond Yoga offers inclusive sizing.
Trust me, you won’t regret buying these.
Another option I love are these Amazon Yoga pants.
Smart Base Layers
For your t-shirts and long sleeves, you can’t go wrong with cotton options. They’re soft and don’t wrinkle easily. Smart, functional layers are going to be your best friend.
Fabrics like merino wool are lightweight and moisture-wicking, which make them ideal for active travelers. For long flights, I always pack a hoodie in my travel tote in case the plane is chilly.
Easy Travel Dresses
We don’t give enough credit to the simplicity, ease and comfort provided by maxi dresses and jumpsuits. If you find yourself feeling uninspired by black leggings, a jumpsuit might be for you.
Clothing brands like Lululemon have cute, stylish travel dresses that are a perfect addition to your athleisure wardrobe. You won’t regret adding these stylish, one-piece travel outfits to your carry-on.
Outerwear
Recently, I traveled to Ireland and forgot to pack a rain jacket. Big mistake! When you’re thinking about packing outwear, definitely pay attention to the climate you will be in.
As we know, packing coats can be bulky. Look for lightweight, packable options and wear your bulkiest coat on the plane. Also, suitcase organizers like these are fabulous.
From rain jackets to lightweight coats, these are my favorites.
Don’t Forget Your Feet!
No matter how comfortable your clothes are, if you’re feet aren’t happy, you won’t be. KURU Footwear claims to be “the world’s most comfortable shoes.” They have great arch support and shock-absorbent foam so you can be on your feet all day, traversing airports, walking city streets or standing at an all-day music festival. The slip-on KIVI pairs well with the pants above.
