Considering a luxury all-inclusive resort vacation in Mexico? The Xcaret Arte, located in the Mayan Riviera near Cancun, is ideal for an adults-only getaway. I recently visited this bucket list destination and was blown away by the comfy rooms, delicious food and gorgeous pools. And the spa? It’s one of the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced. Read on for a full review.

I recently had the pleasure of spending several days at the Xcaret Arte Resort in Mexico, and it was truly a memorable experience. Hotel Xcaret Arte is a luxury all-inclusive resort located within the Xcaret theme park in the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico.

It is a new hotel that opened in 2021 and is one of the three resorts located there. It offers a range of amenities and activities for guests, including access to all of the attractions and activities at the theme park. There are so many perks to staying at this resort.

Xcaret Arte Mexico is situated on the Caribbean Sea and is surrounded by beautiful rainforests. I couldn’t get over how stunning this area of Mexico is.

The resort has top-notch amenities and activities, including pools, a spa, cultural experiences and fine cuisine. I experienced and loved it all!

This resort will be one that I’ll highly recommend all my friends and family visit. I will be counting down the days until my next visit! This is my full Xcaret Arte review based on my personal experience.

The Breathtaking Natural Beauty

Xcaret Arte is located in the heart of the Mayan Riviera, surrounded by lush rainforests and stunning beaches. The beautiful cenotes that you can paddleboard and kayak around (this activity is included in your resort stay) is going to take your breath away.

I woke up early in the mornings to watch the sunrise (you see the sun rising over Cozumel in the distance). Make time during your stay to see both the sunrise and sunset, you won’t regret it. The resort is in the heart of the Riviera Maya and near Playa del Carmen.

It’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature. I traveled solo to Xcaret Arte and I’m grateful that I had time to really soak in the beauty that surrounded me during my visit.

The Cultural Experiences

From the variety of restaurants to the stunning art displays around the resort, there are numerous opportunities to embrace the true beauty of the Mexican culture. When staying at the resort you can plan to enjoy several cultural workshops that include weaving, painting, pottery, literature and dancing.

The art that floods the resort is also one-of-a-kind. Mexican art is known for its vibrant colors, bold patterns and intricate designs, which are often inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage and natural surroundings.

The Xcaret has fully captured the spirit and culture of the country and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to fully immerse myself in it.

The Restaurants and Dining Options at Xcaret Arte

Xcaret Resort in Mexico is known for its wide range of dining options. The resort has a number of restaurants and bars that serve a variety of international and local cuisines. The food really was a highlight for me.

The resort has a large variety of dining experiences which includes an exclusive restaurant (ENCANTA) from Chef Paco Méndez, a world-renowned Michelin Star chef. Reservations are required to dine at this restaurant so plan ahead, trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this dining experience.

One of my other favorite restaurants was the APAPACHOA, this 100% plant-based vegan restaurant is located on one of the rooftops at the resort and I couldn’t get over how incredible every dish was!

Kibi Kibi located in the Casa de Los Artistas has the most memorable decor and food.

Another must-try is XAAK. However this dining experience is not included as part of your stay so be aware that it will be an extra cost but worth every penny!

Fun-Filled Adventure

In addition to the activities and amenities at the resort, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Xcaret parks (XPLOR FUEGO, XPLOR, XEL-HÁ, XENSES, XOXIMILCO, XAVAGE, XENOTES and XCARET) because admission to the parks is included when you stay at the resort.

The Xcaret theme parks is a popular attraction for travelers visiting the Mayan Riviera and is home to a number of animals, including jaguars, pumas, flamingos and parrots, as well as a number of cultural attractions, including the Mayan Village. You can learn all about the history and traditions of the ancient Maya, as well as participate in traditional Mexican cultural activities. These parks are well loved by both international and local travelers.

The park is known for its focus on preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of Mexico and it has won several awards for its environmental and conservation efforts.

For some nightlife fun at the resort, find the speakeasy that you have to see to believe. Ask about it at check-in.

Memorable Accommodations

The hotel has a modern design and offers a range of accommodation options. All of the rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs, minibars and private balconies.

There are several different Casas on-site and you will have options when booking on which room view you prefer (check out the ocean view rooms). Take time to study each of the room options to choose which one is the best fit for you. With different themed Casas and 900 room options you will have plenty of variety to choose from. Some rooms even include butlers.

My master suite was spacious, with a comfortable bed and the private balcony was my favorite spot to relax each day. Sitting in the hammock and taking in the views was exactly what I needed from a vacation. The view was breathtaking!

The architecture of Hotel Xcaret Arte is inspired by the natural and cultural heritage of Mexico. The hotel has a modern design that incorporates elements of traditional Mayan architecture, such as arches, columns and carved stone details.

The hotel is built in a series of interconnected buildings, and it is surrounded by lush gardens and waterways. The interior of the hotel is designed to be open and airy with natural materials.

Xcaret also has a reputation for its high-quality accommodations and excellent customer service. I found both to be very true. The staff at the resort went above and beyond to make me feel right at home during my stay.

Rest & Relaxation

Xcaret Arte is also a great place to relax and unwind. The resort has a luxurious spa and pools, as well as a wide range of dining options to suit every taste. You’ll feel like you’ve reached the ultimate level of relaxation when you’re laying poolside on one of the many rooftop pool areas with one of their delicious signature cocktails in your hand.

I would say that the Muluk Spa is a MUST TRY when you are at this resort. Not only is it one of the most beautiful spas that I’ve ever visited but the massage I had was incredible and there are several other relaxing things to try like the Hydrotherapy ritual: sauna, vapor, hot jacuzzi, cold jacuzzi, emotional showers, cold room and playful pool with a river view.

Another highlight for me was the amount of pools (including rooftop pools and an infinity pool). Even though the resort was at 90% capacity during my visit, I would have never known. The amount of space to spread out allowed for plenty of open pool chairs and seats at the swim up bars. The resort never felt crowded to me. This is one of the main reasons why I will want to revisit this resort again and again.

Why We Love All-inclusive Resorts

Hotel Xcaret Arte says they specialize in “all-fun inclusive.” There are so many reasons why I love an all-inclusive hotel and resort:

  • Value: All-inclusive resorts often offer great value for money. They include all meals, drinks and activities in the price of the room. This can be especially appealing to travelers who are trying to plan out the cost of their luxury vacation.
  • Convenience: All-inclusive resorts are convenient because they provide everything you need in one place. You don’t have to worry about finding a place to eat or drink, or paying for activities separately.
  • Relaxation: All-inclusive resorts are a great place to relax and unwind, as you don’t have to worry about anything other than enjoying your vacation. Many all-inclusive resorts have luxurious spas, pools and other amenities to help you relax and recharge.
