Welcome to Miami: beaches, fashion, dining, and traffic. I caught an Uber from the Brightline train station. What should’ve been a quick turn around the corner ended in a traffic jam, a time-sucker for the afternoon pool lounging I planned for the rest of the day.

Not wanting to miss another moment of hotel time, I released my driver and walked the rest of the way. Mere minutes later, I set my gaze on the 51-story building, while the cool breeze of the chic lobby greeted me.

Welcome to the latest hotspot for weekend getaways and extended remote “workcations”: the stylish, contemporary art-deco Gale Miami Hotel and Residences.

Three options:  Casa Gianna, Cafe Gianna and Poolside dining

Casa Gianna

  • Vibe: Elegant dining, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Food: Italian style
  • Tip: Every dish on the menu stands out—order several and enjoy together with your group!

Cafe Gianna

  • Vibe: Quick service
  • Food: Coffee, parfaits, snacks
  • Tip: For those really on-the-go, no need to step inside – they have a streetside window just outside the hotel.

Poolside

  • Vibe: Outdoor dining
  • Food: Same great food as inside Casa Gianna
  • Tip: Don’t spend your lunch confined to your desk. Have lunch by the pool and wash it down with one of their Miami inspired cocktails.

Spa treatments

Easily one of my favorite moments of this trip, the spa will have you feeling as if you’ve stepped into a quiet, calm land even though the chaotic noises of the city lie just below. Guests can choose from a wide variety of treatments, all designed to inspire you to relax and melt your stress away. I opted for the ALPHA BETA FIRMING PEEL SIGNATURE FACIAL. Promoting collagen growth accompanied with LED therapy, this facial had my skin glowing!

Fitness center

I’m always going to humble-brag about this because it took me years to perfect – yes, I will be that person who goes to the gym while on a trip (it’s the perfect way to start your day before consuming all the vacation calories. Girl math!).

Fitness life in Miami stands as competitive, and this fitness club has made its presence known. High-end equipment including Pilates machines and Peloton bikes remain available 24/7, as well as classes with personal instructors to assist you in meeting your physical goals. Outside guests can opt for a membership to enjoy the facilities year-round.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Check out La Industria Bakery & Cafe located in Bayside Marketplace! Brunch for dinner, with a Latin American twist. I need this concept on a food truck, stat!

Getting there

The Gale Miami Hotel & Residences is a 25-minute drive from Miami International. If you’re driving and not ubering, the hotel offers valet parking.

As a Florida local, I can confidently say that the Brightline train is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to travel. I boarded the train in Orlando (an experience that felt like an adventure on its own) and just over three hours later, arrived at the Miami station. From there, it was just a short 6-minute walk to the Gale Miami Hotel & Residences. Additionally, rideshares and public buses serve as convenient options for reaching the hotel (if you don’t mind the traffic!).

The hotel follows strict cleaning procedures, providing extra peace of mind during your stay. Families will love the child-friendly amenities and the safe, welcoming environment. Whether you’re here for fun or work, these details help you relax and enjoy your visit.
