Kid-Friendly Hotels in Dallas with Pools (and Near Attractions!)

The Dallas metropolitan area offers many kid-friendly entertainment options. After a day of exploring, here are our favorite hotels for a comfortable and kid-friendly space to unwind.

For each, we highlight whether the pools are inside or out, which hotels offer free kids meals and other kid-friendly amenities, and what attractions are just a short drive away.

1. Hilton Anatole

Conveniently located near downtown and the airport, this kid-friendly hotel offers spacious rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and coffee machines.   There’s a thrilling water park and pool complex, and the hotel is close to kid-friendly attractions like Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament.

Despite its airport location, the Grand Hyatt DFW Hotel offers upscale amenities and a family-friendly atmosphere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Free WiFi is available to all guests, as well as extra bedding for the little ones. It’s only a short drive to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine.

Located just outside of Dallas, the waterpark, game room, and kids activities make it a great kid-friendly resort. Use the free airport shuttle and there’s no need to rent a car, or ever leave the resort.

Additionally, the hotel provides a free shuttle service within a 5-mile radius, allowing you to bypass the inconvenience of renting a vehicle or using a taxi.  If you have a car, free parking is available. When you want to relax, the outdoor pool is perfect for cooling off after a long day of exploring Dallas.

Experience the sights of Downtown Dallas from your balcony room. It’s a short distance from Klyde Warren Park. The park has a dedicated children’s area called the Children’s Park that includes a playground with climbing structures, swings, and a splash pad.

The Reunion Tower has several activities that are enjoyable for kids. Take the elevator up to the GeO-Deck, the observation deck located at the top of the Reunion Tower.

8. The Westin Galleria Dallas

The Westin Galleria Dallas Hotel is an excellent North Dallas lodging choice for the whole family. Less than 10 miles from downtown Dallas, it is in the Galleria Dallas shopping mall, where families can easily access shopping, dining, and entertainment options. This includes an indoor Ice-Skating Rink and outdoor pool with rooftop views to enjoy at the end of the day.  Babysitting and childcare are available for an additional charge.

Located in the heart of the city, The Westin Dallas Downtown is just steps away from all the best attractions in the arts district, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and the West End.  With excellent amenities including the 32nd floor indoor pool and fitness center, it’s easy to keep the kids entertained. THe hotel also is a convenient choice if you’ll be attending events at the American Airlines Center.

Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington is the best family choice, located just a short distance from Six Flags Over Texas amusement park. It offers a hearty Texan welcome and convenient access for families visiting Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor, which is open seasonally—spring through summer. It is also only 2 miles from AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. With guest room options for families, it is pet-friendly and has an outdoor swimming pool, refreshing at the end of the day.
