Indoor Family Fun No Matter the Weather in LaGrange

For indoor family fun in LaGrange, my kids love Great Wolf Lodge’s indoor waterpark. The resort opening put LaGrange on the map as a family-friendly destination, and it’s a standout attraction that guarantees entertainment no matter the weather. From water slides to a lazy river and a wave pool, the waterpark is designed for all ages.
Beyond the water park, there are indoor activities such as an arcade, mini bowling, rope courses and family-friendly games, making it an easy all-in-one destination for kids to burn energy. At the same time, parents relax and join in the fun.
Hills and Dales Estate Blends Fun and History
For beauty that’s both indoors and out, Hills & Dales Estate is an engaging historical experience for families. Touring the historic estate, designed by Fuller E. Callaway, gives kids a chance to step back in time and learn about life in the early 20th century.
My kids conquer the Hills & Dales Estate scavenger hunt every time they walk through the well-preserved rooms and artifacts. The estate’s indoor spaces add an educational, slower-paced option to balance out more high-energy activities, making it a nice complement to LaGrange’s family-friendly attractions.
SheBuysTravel Tip: An exceptional time to visit is during the holiday season, when the estate’s 30+ rooms are festively adorned.
Outdoor LaGrange Activities For Families

LaGrange offers several outdoor activities perfect for families who want to spend time together. Wild Animal Safari, located just outside the city, lets families take a drive on the wild side for up-close animal encounters. See exotic animals roaming freely, with opportunities to feed many of them right from your car or the park’s bus.
For a mix of history and green space, the Callaway Memorial Tower is a great stop. This scenic landmark sits near downtown and allows families to stretch their legs while taking in views of the surrounding area.
Climbing the tower adds a sense of adventure for kids, and the peaceful grounds make it an easy place to pause, explore and snap family photos while learning a bit about LaGrange’s heritage.

Families looking for space to play and relax will enjoy Southbend Park, one of LaGrange’s most popular outdoor gathering spots. The park features playgrounds and open green spaces. With areas for biking, skating and picnicking, it gives kids plenty of room to run and explore.
With its laid-back atmosphere and variety of activities, Southbend Park is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy quality time outdoors during a family visit to LaGrange.
SheBuysTravel Tip: Southbend Park is within walking distance of Wild Leap Brewery. Grab a craft beer or cocktail and enjoy it while the kids play. The brewery is also family-friendly if you want to stop by after the park.
