For decades, the fan-favorite Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has attracted travelers with its sweeping architecture, array of restaurants and walkable location just steps from Disney’s BoardWalk, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
But the resort also boasts another asset: Camp Dolphin, one of just two drop-off kids’ clubs on
During an Orlando spring break stay at the Dolphin, our family of five opted for the full kids’ club experience. Here’s everything parents and kids should know about this standout amenity for families.
Camp Dolphin is a Hidden Gem for Families

Camp Dolphin is available exclusively to guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort’s three hotels: the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve. Located on the Dolphin’s lower level near the fitness center and arcade, this kids’ club is a valuable perk for both parents and children.
Open daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the supervised kids club is available for children ages 5 through 12 and offers a flexible schedule of evening programming. With activities that include games, themed activities, arts and crafts, movies, video games and toys, it’s perfect for kids who are looking to socialize and play.
A Smart Way to Plan a Parents’ Night Out

One of the wonderful things about Camp Dolphin is its flexible scheduling; families can book sessions ranging from two to six hours.
And the best part: date nights are affordable. Kids can attend complimentary two-hour sessions while parents dine at select resort restaurants at the resort, including Todd English’s Bluezoo, Amare, Il Mulino New York Trattoria, Rosa Mexicano, Bourbon Steak or Kimonos.
We booked this offer twice during our three-night stay, and the kids loved making new friends at Camp Dolphin while my husband and I went to dinner. One night, we enjoyed Cantonese-style fried Maine lobster and chickpea fries with black truffle aioli at Todd English’s Bluezoo; the next, we shared sizzling fajitas and fresh guacamole at Rosa Mexicano.
SheBuysTravel Tip: Without the dining promotion, Camp Dolphin prices range from $60 for two hours to $135 per child for six hours. Reservations are required, and booking ahead is a smart idea during busy travel periods.

Why Families Love Camp Dolphin

One of the greatest advantages of a stay at the Swan and Dolphin is its prime location in the heart of the EPCOT resort area. Camp Dolphin gives parents the freedom to venture off property within the greater resort area, including Disney’s BoardWalk, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — an ideal option for parents looking to attend seasonal evening events.
On the final night of our trip, we booked a longer early evening session and walked over to Disney’s BoardWalk for dinner at Flying Fish and a sunset stroll around the lagoon. Meanwhile, the kids spent the evening climbing a kid-sized climbing wall, playing air hockey, creating chalk murals and sharing a meal with their new camp friends.
The Resort Has Plenty for Parents and Kids to Enjoy

Even beyond the kids’ club, the resort has plenty of activities for families.
The resort’s connected hotels feature 23 restaurants and lounges, making it easy to find something for every age and appetite. My kids especially loved helping themselves to self-serve Dole Whip at Fuel and ordering burgers and milkshakes at The Fountain, a retro-style diner inside the Dolphin.

And while it can be tempting to spend every minute in the theme parks, the resort itself is worth slowing down for. During our stay, we spent afternoons at the Grotto Pool (which features an epic water slide), playing beach volleyball and roasting s’mores during nightly movies under the stars.
SheBuysTravel Tip: Just outside the resort, families can also walk to the Fantasia-themed miniature golf course or explore Disney’s BoardWalk, where nightly entertainers, carnival-style games and outdoor movies add even more family fun after dark.
