At Wailea Beach Villas, there are 98 privately owned luxury residences. CoralTree Residence Collection professionally manages 38 of them, providing hospitality services while allowing each home to retain its own personality. For my girls’ trip, that meant staying in a beautifully decorated three-bedroom villa with Hawaiian-inspired decor, and enjoying the services we expected from a professionally managed luxury property.

Our residence became part of the experience: slow mornings on the balcony with coffee, relaxed afternoons at the beach, evenings walking across the street to dinner and shopping at The Shops at Wailea.

It was exactly the kind of Maui stay we wanted:

  • Spacious luxury accommodations
  • Easy access to the Wailea Beach Path
  • Private beach access with chairs and umbrellas included
  • Walkable restaurants and shopping
  • Stocked kitchen to eat in if we wanted
  • Remote-work-friendly environment
  • 24-hour gated security SheBuysTravel Tip: Book early! The larger three- and four-bedroom units can book out months ahead for peak weeks.

The advantage of booking through CoralTree is the consistency and level of service behind the scenes. CoralTree maintains hospitality-level standards across the residences so guests know they’re booking a professionally managed property. We were welcomed with leis, and inside the condo was a thoughtful gift of locally made snacks.

CoralTree Residences services include:

  • housekeeping
  • concierge-style guest services
  • golf cart shuttle to The Shops at Wailea
  • TV & game room with board games, pool table, shuffleboard
  • grocery delivery
  • WIFI

The Villa Felt Comfortable Immediately

The three-bedroom villa we stayed in overlooked the family pool. The villa’s decor blended Hawaiian influences with polished art deco details, beautiful artwork and soft coastal colors that made the condo feel polished and relaxed.

We enjoyed:

  • Three large bedrooms
  • Multiple bathrooms
  • Spacious living room
  • Full dining area
  • Washer and dryer
  • Large balcony with gas grill
  • Fully stocked kitchen with high-end appliances and quality cookware

I especially loved the kitchen because it was stocked like someone actually expects guests to use it. Having a full kitchen is one of the biggest advantages of choosing a residence over a hotel room, especially for families and groups. And CoralTree can arrange for a private chef to prepare dinner right in the villa.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Have CoralTree’s grocery delivery service stock the kitchen before you arrive so breakfast and snacks are ready when you arrive.

Walkable Restaurants and Shopping Made a Difference

Beautiful beaches, golf courses, restaurants and shopping are all nearby.

We took full advantage of being directly across from The Shops at Wailea, walking over for dinners and shopping. There is also a golf cart shuttle available if guests don’t feel like walking back in the heat or rain.

The Shops at Wailea has a mix of luxury brands, galleries and restaurants including:

  • Tommy Bahama Restaurant
  • Waikiki Brewing Co.
  • Blue Ginger
  • Gucci

Private Beach Access

The private beach access became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We went every day.

We had access to beach chairs and umbrellas, which makes beach days feel incredibly easy. Instead of carrying supplies back and forth or planning around setup logistics, we could simply head down and settle in. The water was calm and swimmable.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Head down to the beach by mid-morning if you want first pick of the included chairs and umbrellas.

Pools & Grounds

The landscaping throughout the property is colorful and beautifully designed. We loved being surrounded by tropical plants and colorful flowers, outlined by a stream filled with fish and lily pads.

There are two pool areas: the adult pool sits nearest the ocean, an infinity-edge pool and Jacuzzi with open water views, while the family pool area has its own waterfall and Jacuzzi spa. Both had plenty of lounge chairs.

Massages and treatments are available in residence and near the beach, in the oceanside Massage Hale.
