Springtime in Orlando turns theme park dates into playful romantic adventures. Think bead-tossing parades, globe-trotting bites and flower-filled strolls where couples can ride, snack, laugh and reconnect while making fresh, flirty memories together all season long.

Highlights:

  • Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration mixes parades, concerts and global “International Flavors of Carnival” tasting bites.
  • EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival and Garden Graze turn a park stroll into a romantic, food-filled spring date.
  • SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival and Aquatica’s Aloha to Summer add bold flavors, cocktails and splashy fun.

Theme Park Date Nights in Orlando

From the couple who loves a roller coaster’s adrenaline boost to the pair who prefers to stroll hand in hand to the next snack, theme park dates are always a top springtime choice. As Florida residents, my husband and I enjoy the variety that these experiences offer. Instead of another simple dinner or staring at the big screen, these activities offer a way to connect, share and make memories.

One reason I like theme park dates: they are always different. Even if we prioritize a particular ride or ensure a signature sipper is drunk, no two experiences are exactly the same. Not only does it create connection in the moment, but it also makes me excited for the next experience.

From Universal Orlando Resort and Epcot to SeaWorld and Aquatica, each location has springtime events that create fun, engaging and memorable date nights for couples. Ready to make plans?

  • The annual Mardi Gras themed event includes bands, parades and performances.
  • Annual passholders and dinner reservation guests have the chance to ride on a parade float.

As the lyrics say, “feet don’t fail me now,” the good times roll at Universal Orlando Resort’s Mardi Gras celebration over several weeks. Each night comes alive with parades, bead throwing and extra merriment.

My husband and I always try to secure a dine and ride reservation during the springtime event. This option gives us dinner and the opportunity to ride on a float. Throwing beads to guests is a signature experience and one that we love returning to year after year.

Even if the reservation is unavailable, we love trying to catch beads along the parade route. The person who catches the most loot picks the post-theme park late night bite.

  • Universal Orlando’s culinary team offers globally inspired food and beverages.
  • The tasting-sized portions allow more food sampling.

While the beads fly through the air and the specialty concerts have us dancing the night away, Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras International Flavors of Carnival food options spark my imagination for our next great food adventure.

Each country’s inspired dish had us devising a trip to explore an Austrian city where we could drink beer and devour another heaping helping of schnitzel. Others brought back memories of the years we spent working in Puerto Rico, which had us loving pinchos.

For anyone who wants to explore food without having to brave the TSA, the Universal Orlando event is a great idea. Looking forward to the next great adventure always satisfies.

EPCOT’s Springtime Festivals

  • 2026 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival features 30 new and returning topiaries
  • The Springtime event is included with theme park admission.

The annual EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival blooms with spring’s bounty. Seasonal ingredients are featured across various marketplaces. While those bites and sips satisfy my cravings, strolling from topiary to topiary gives us a way to reminisce.

Many popular Disney characters sprout from carefully nurtured plants. Beyond the stunning images, the displays spark a conversation. From remembering watching Cars over and over with our kids to wondering if the upcoming Muppets roller coaster will rival Guardians of the Galaxy, walking and talking is an easy way to reconnect.

Sometimes the simplest option is the most meaningful. Plus, this date night means my husband can skip buying flowers for a few weeks.

Garden Graze

  • Garden Graze is a satisfying way to eat around the world.
  • Returning favorites and new dishes prove produce is a Springtime showstopper

Protein is king in current culinary trends, but EPCOT’s annual Garden Graze highlights the bounty from the garden. It’s a reminder why eating the rainbow is always delicious.

My husband and I enjoy having a task when hitting EPCOT for date night. Using the Garden Graze menu items as a guide, we can start with a snack, move on to an entree and end with a sweet treat. Even if we supplement the dishes with a few beverages, it is a way to remember why fresh food is flavorful.

For 2026, the Coconut Panna Cotta is our favorite final bite of the night. It is just sweet enough to be the chef’s kiss to pair with the pixie dust that is the magic of Disney’s nightly fireworks show.

  • Seven Seas Food Festival runs on weekends at SeaWorld Orlando.
  • The springtime event offers a rotating menu, seated dinner option and many specialty cocktails.

While SeaWorld Orlando’s roller coasters bring big thrills, the Seven Seas Food Festival offers excitement on the plate. The specialty food options traverse the globe. From spicy flavors to sweet desserts, it is easy to curate a multi-course, themed meal.

Recently, my husband and I have been pleasantly surprised by SeaWorld Orlando’s culinary team. Bold flavors, usual combinations and authentic dishes make it a standout. It allowed us to create a dessert-themed extravaganza with boozy cupcakes and cocktails.

All of the big, bold flavors demand attention, making it is easy to enjoy a few plates and beverages on a simple afternoon. For example, a hot honey paloma with some feijoada is a top pairing.

Several marketplaces have rotating menus. This smart option ensures that each visit has a new food and beverage to explore.

  • SeaWorld Orlando’s waterpark brings a taste of Hawaii
  • Food, parades and interactive experiences make for a fun-filled day

Orlando’s springtime days can get heated. This year, my husband and I headed to Aquatica’s Aloha to Summer to cool off before the rising temperatures became too brutal. This warm welcome to the sunny days ahead, combined fun, sun and lots of laughter.

Even though we have a pool and the beach is in our backyard, a waterpark is more than just a gigantic splashpad. At Aquatica, the special events offer engaging activities throughout the water park.

We enjoyed the special bar trivia paired with some tasty Hawaiian-inspired food and some happy hour-priced beers. The interactive games allowed us to talk to other guests, have a few laughs and recharge before hitting the wave pool.
