On my recent trip to this delightful haven, I discovered the Islands of the Bahamas deliver the perfect blend of privacy, indulgence and unforgettable experiences. Whether you search for luxury, romance or relaxation, there are a number of adult-only all-inclusive resorts that will deliver beyond your expectations.

Warwick Paradise Island

If you are the traveler who wants an upscale resort, but still with a relaxed vibe, Warwick Paradise Island is all that and more. Its modern and comfortable feeling sets it apart from the moment you arrive in the lobby. You’re surrounded by sofas and chairs, cozily arranged to encourage conversation. The Junkanoo costumes on display showcase an inherent part of Bahamian culture. The taste of Bahamian pride is apparent.

HIghlights:

  • Vibe: Upscale reputation with a modern, comfortable feeling and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Accommodations: A 4-star property with 250 rooms, all showcasing the proud color scheme of the Bahamian flag (aqua, gold and black)
    • 3 one-bedroom Harbour Front Suites with both ocean and harbour front views, 2 balconies and a lounge area
    • 247 rooms, standard rooms with a choice of view: island view, water view, harbour deluxe balcony or harbour premium balcony rooms.

Hotel Riu Palace

Trendy and hip are the words that immediately came to mind when I arrived at Hotel Riu Palace. The lobby is bustling with not only registration but also some shops and the concierge, where you can choose from a number of different activities (such as windsurfing, kayaking and scuba diving) available in Nassau. The rooftop pool offers sensational views!

HIghlights:

  • Vibe: Upscale and trendy, but still very comfortable.
  • Accommodations: 4-star hotel with 379 rooms, all listed as suites. There are ocean view suites, superior ocean view suites and ocean front view suites with a separate lounging area. The majority of the rooms are junior suites without the lounge area; however, there are many connecting room scenarios that are used as well. Every room includes a beverage area (minibars and coffee stations) and sensational views.
  • Dining: Five restaurants to satisfy your appetite, a steakhouse and Japanese restaurant among them. There are three bars/lounges – Calypso offers 24-hour service. There are also event spaces for weddings and other special occasions.
  • Amenities: Two outdoor pools, the fitness center, as well as the full-service Renova Spa (for all your relaxation needs). Some services at the spa would be the only additional costs you would experience. You will also have direct access to the beach.
  • Location: Casino Drive, Paradise Island, The Bahamas. It sits along Cabbage Beach, where the white sands surround you.
  • Minimum Age: 18

Breezes Bahamas

Breezes Bahamas stands out among the other stunning resorts in Nassau because of its simplicity. It has the ingredients for a fantastic beach vacation – effortless and hospitable – all while offering a fabulous view, excellent service and bursting with bright colors and decor. It was a personal favorite.

HIghlights:

  • Vibe: Unpretentious, comfortable and laid-back, while still offering top-notch service
  • Accommodations: 3- to 3.5-star hotel with 391 rooms. They offer 386 standard rooms (classic, oceanview, deluxe oceanview) and 5 suites (1 Presidential suite and the remainder are 1-bedroom oceanfront). These are all within two beachfront towers. offers panoramic views as a bonus.
  • Dining: Four restaurants are available for dining. Italian and Asian-fusion options are available, as well as the main dining area, the Banana Boat and an outdoor Reggae Café/Beach Grill offering pool fare. In addition to the lobby bar and poolside bar, you can also partake of the piano bar and disco bar. All are very comfortable and welcoming.
  • Amenities: One large sprawling pool adorns the area between the towers. From there, a few steps get you to the magnificent beach. Walking along the beachfront, watching the stunning colors of the sunrise and sunset, is a great way to relax. A fitness center and a seaside spa are also part of the resort.
  • Minimum Age: 14
  • Location: 1 Breezes Lane, Nassau, The Bahamas – situated on Cable Beach, this is one of the more fabled stretches of white-sand beaches in the Bahamas.

Are you the traveler who wants opulence? Sandals Royal Bahamian is an excellent choice. This couples-only resort offers pure luxury at both the resort and its offshore private island, Barefoot Cay. There is history behind it as well, since the resort was once well-known to be a favorite escape for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

HIghlights:

  • Vibe: Lavishness and luxury all the way. The decor is Roman-inspired, adding to the elegance.
  • Accommodations: 5-star hotel with a total of 404 rooms. The resort houses 396 extravagant rooms and suites, distributed between the Club Level category and the Butler Elite Level. The remaining 8 rooms are classified as Luxury rooms, which are considered entry-level and budget-friendly.
  • Dining: Sandals has 10 restaurants, featuring a wide variety of international menu options for its guests. One distinctive aspect of their dining program is the Dine Out credit. Sandals will offer its guests a credit should they wish to dine at one of four high-end local restaurants in Nassau.
  • Amenities: There are two main pools: one with music and a livelier atmosphere, and the other, much quieter and calmer. The resort features a few smaller pools around the property, and some suites offer private plunge pools. Beach access is abundant. Sandals offer a wide variety of other water sports, including scuba diving and snorkeling. Some of these may incur additional costs. Barefoot Cay is their own offshore island, with private ferry service offered from the resort. If you’re feeling energetic, a short kayak trip will get you there. The island has a Zen garden, a spa, a pool and two beaches for the ultimate relaxation.
  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Location: West Bay Street, Nassau, The Bahamas, along Cable Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas.

  • The Cove at Atlantis Resort– while not all-inclusive, it is part of the magnificent Atlantis resort, with its wide variety of restaurants and facilities. This part of the resort does offer an adult-only, exclusive pool area.
