Disneyland’s 70th anniversary kicked off on May 16 and as part of the year-long celebration the happiest place on earth has new entertainment, themed decor and food offerings for guests. I recently came back from a week-long trip to Disneyland and was able to try a handful of the new foods for the 70th celebration. Let me just say — the Disneyland 70th anniversary food is better than anything I’ve tried at the parks before and that’s coming from someone who has high standards for Disney park food.

Ahead, I’m going to share my favorite Disneyland 70th anniversary food items that I tried (not including the churros although they are arguably the most popular) and more information on where you can get them on your next visit.

Chicken Pot Pie Baked Potato

The chicken pot pie baked potato is one of the special food items available to guests during the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration.

  • Where to Find It: Troubadour Tavern
  • Why I Loved It: It was a super hearty baked potato with a creamy chicken pot pie filling, topped with a flaky pie crust crumble. It tasted like my mothers home cooking.
  • What’s Nearby: Fantasyland Theater where you can catch the new Pixar Pals Playtime Party after you eat.
  • Tip: At $11.99 it’s a bit pricey, but sharing it with a friend can bring down the cost..

70th Stuff

The 70th Stuff is another menu item for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary and it’s a popular pick so far.

  • Where to Find It: Red Rose Tavern in Fantasyland.
  • Why I Loved It: This sweet treat is a twist on the grey stuff from “Beauty and the Beast” with cookies and cream cake, fresh raspberry and raspberry jam and white chocolate mousse on top of a shortbread cookie topped with sprinkles and a sugar candle. I loved everything about this from the presentation to the decadent cake inside putting it at the top of my list.
  • What’s Nearby: Red Rose Tavern is a few steps away from Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante where you can get your hands on Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner.
  • Tip: Get the Hook’s Galley Tuna Melt mentioned below to complete the meal.

  • Where to Find It: Red Rose Tavern in Fantasyland.
  • Why I Loved It: This isn’t your traditional tuna melt as it has a bit of a kick but is delicious nonetheless with muenster cheese and herb-marinated tomatoes. Plus, I can’t forget to mention that it comes with house-made potato chips which you can put on top for an added crunch.
  • What’s Nearby: Red Rose Tavern is near Peter Pan’s Flight so after you eat you can go enjoy an attraction just a few steps to the right.
  • Tip: Use the mobile order feature on the Disneyland app to save you time standing in lines at mealtime.

Mickey Hat Cookie

You’re allowed to bring food into Disneyland as long as it’s not in a glass container so you could easily put some cookies in a plastic bag to munch on throughout the day, however, they likely won’t be as cute or in theme as this Mickey hat cookie – a chocolate dipped sugar cookie with a white chocolate decoration.

  • Where to Find It: Jolly Holiday Bakery
  • Why I Loved It: It’s really a treat to get if you like taking pictures or want something that’s exclusive for the 70th celebration.
  • What’s Nearby: Jolly Holiday is located on Main Street U.S.A. so after you eat you can go shopping for merchandise.
  • Tip: If you’re a Magic Key holder, you can save a bit with your discount which brings the price down from $6.79 to roughly $6.

Celebration Matterhorn Macaroon

I’ve been a fan of the Matterhorn macaroon since my first visit to Disneyland many years ago and this new festive twist makes it even better.

  • Where to Find It: Jolly Holiday Bakery
  • Why I Loved It: The coconut macaroon comes dipped in white chocolate and covered in festive sprinkles to add even more sweetness.
  • What’s Nearby: Jolly Holiday is near Sleeping Beauty Castle so after you eat you can go take pictures with the family to remember your time at Disneyland.
  • Tip: Items at Jolly Holiday Bakery tend to sell out quickly so you should place a mobile order ahead of your arrival to the park to ensure it’s saved for you.

70th Celebration Macaron

The 70th Celebration macaron is the most visually appealing 70th anniversary food item in my opinion.

  • Where to Find It: Jolly Holiday Bakery
  • Why I Loved It: It looks like a vibrant slice of birthday cake with frosting and sprinkles, but actually it’s a macaron topped with vanilla bean buttercream, strawberry jam, fresh strawberry, and strawberry crunch. Out of all the Disneyland 70th anniversary food, this one is a must-try for sure if you’re a fan of fruity desserts and macarons.
  • What’s Nearby: Jolly Holiday is near Adventureland so after you eat head on over and ride Indiana Jones Adventure.
  • Tip: It’s large enough where it can be shared by two people so you can save money and just order one.

70th Celebration Macaroooon

A majority of this list is macarons but it’s for a good reason — they are delicious and a Disneyland staple.

  • Where to Find It: Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland
  • Why I Loved It: It looks like the cute little green aliens from “Toy Story.” It’s filled with birthday cake buttercream and has a confetti cake slice inside alongside a white chocolate birthday hat.
  • What’s Nearby: Alien Pizza Planet is located directly next to Space Mountain so after you eat this head over to ride the out of this world roller coaster.
  • Tip: Order a slice of pizza and a drink to complete the meal so you have energy to finish out the day at Disneyland.
